It’s March “Attendance” Madness month! During the month of March each school will run an attendance challenge for each week. Each school’s homeroom will be competing with other homerooms in their school. As teams, homerooms, advance through the bracket, winners will receive prizes! As the rounds progress, you will be receiving daily updates on the morning announcements about who is in the lead. Once we enter the Round of 16, the team with the highest average attendance percentage rate for the week will move onto the next round and receive a prize! The final round winner will be awarded with this year's March “Attendance” Madness trophy and a surprise!
Here’s how it works:
Play to enter the Madness Bracket - March 2, 3, 4
Teams, homerooms, will be competing to make it into the Round of 16 bracket.
Round of 16 - March 5, 6
The 16 teams with the highest average attendance percentage will be randomly entered into the March “Attendance” Madness Bracket. Those teams will compete the following week to move on to the Elite 8.
Elite 8 - the week of March 9 - 13
The 8 teams with the highest average attendance percentage will advance in the March “Attendance” Madness Bracket. Those teams will compete the following week to move on to the Final 4.
Final 4 - the week of March 16 - 20
The 4 teams with the highest average attendance percentage will advance in the March “Attendance” Madness Bracket. Those teams will compete the following week to move on to the Final 4.
Championship Week - the week of March 23 - 27
The 2 teams with the highest average attendance percentage will be in the Championship round of the March “Attendance” Madness! Winners will receive an amazing prize as well a trophy to display in their classroom! Winners will receive their prize and trophy once we return from Spring Break.
In addition, the Show Up Cup will be up for grabs during all 4 weeks.
March 2 - 6: the school with the highest attendance overall for the week will receive the Show Up Cup for the week of March 9 - 13.
March 9 - 13: the school with the most improvement from March 2 - 6 during the week will receive the Show Up Cup for the week of March 16 - 20.
March 16 - 20: the school with the most improvement from March 9 - 13 during the week will receive the Show Up Cup for the week of March 23 - 27.
March 23 - 27: the school with the most improvement from March 16 - 20 during the week will receive the Show Up Cup beginning April 6.
