Students will take a TCT.

How do plants reproduce?

Students will begin learning different characteristics and behavior that help organisms reproduce.

Bell Ringer:
Students will be asked to select a bird that is found in Kentucky. They are to follow guidelines to find information about what the bird does to ensure it species continues by finding a mate.

 

 

Bell Ringer: 

Students will learn the parts of a flower by reviewing a flower drawing and discussion questions.

Interventions:  Based on assessment data - student specific. Use small group setting to review with each group having a student serve as group mentor.  Use Viking Success to review missed concepts due to absences.  Brainpop and Kahn academy are good resources for reviewing.

Review Cellular Respiration test questions to look for misunderstanding and then review material in order to retest

Students scored class average of 78% on photosynthesis and respiration exam.  Study notes, vocabulary, study guide and diagrams.
