Our district is required, as part of 704 KAR 5:070, to collect information about where your child received early care services for the 12 months prior to coming to kindergarten. 

Parents, if you have not registered your child for Kindergarten or the 2020-2021 school year, please contact Renee Smith, Director of District Health Services at (606)784-8928 ext 2023.

Each Rowan County Elementary School is planning both virtual and face to face parent orientations for the parents of any kindergarten student registered for the upcoming school year. Each school will be contacting kindergarten parents with the virtual meeting link for their school’s online session. If you have not registered your child for kindergarten, please contact the elementary school in your attendance area.

Rowan Co. Schools Family Resource and Youth Service Centers will NOT be hosting the Back to School ReadiFest this year due to COVID-19.  Check your school's website for more information.

The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer program is a financial resource for families with students who lost access to free or reduced-priced meals due to COVID_19. All Rowan County School students are eligible, as we are district-wide free. If you are already receiving public assistance, such as SNAP or Medicaid, you will automatically receive these benefits. I
