STLP and the Youth Services Center will be hosting a Holiday Weigh-In Food Drive Nov. 30 - Dec. 3rd. Please bring box mixes and cans of food on the day assigned to your grade. Freshmen - Nov. 30. Sophomores - Dec. 1. Juniors - Dec. 2. and Seniors - Dec. 3. The grade who brings in the most will win Spirit Points.

Starting next Tuesday, October 19, 2021, we will be having Pound Fitness classes (a leg-heavy, cardio fitness drumming class for adults) in the gym at Rodburn at 4 p.m. This will take place every Tuesday there is nothing else planned at the school (including teacher meetings). 

 

These classes are free, but participants can donate or tip the instructor as they see fit.

 

Participants will need water and a yoga mat or small rug to protect the gym floors. The instructor had approximately 15 sets of Pound Ripstix to be used on a first come, first served basis. Class can be completed without Ripstix as well.

 

Masks must he worn until class begins.

Cardio MixFit is a high energy class that combines HIIT moves with dance and is set to today's music with some throwbacks. Modifications are shown so that no matter where you are in your fitness journey you can feel comfortable and move how your body needs to. We always dance in the lowest light setting possible. This takes away the anxiety that is associated with fitness classes. Bring your yoga mat, light dumbbells, and water and be prepared to have some fun!

PLEASE SHARE THE FOLLOWING INFO WITH STUDENTS! 

 

The winter dance is scheduled for December 3rd from 6:00-8:00. Below are the following requirements that will keep students from purchasing a presale ticket in lunch that Friday. Grade levels need to submit a list of student names to Mrs. Mann that DO NOT meet the following criteria by Thursday, December 2, 2021.

 

·         Infractions- NO MORE THAN 5 from November 9-December 2

·         In ISS

·         A Suspension

·         Disciplinary Referrals

·         Failing Grades (NO MORE THAN 2)

 

 

*Please note that these same rules apply the same day a dance ticket is purchased and students can become ineligible.

*Tickets will NOT be sold at door!

Winter dance - theme "Casual Christmas Attire"

Hello all! Student Council is sponsoring the winter dance coming up on Friday, December 3rd from 6:00-8:00. It has been voted on by Student Council that the theme this year will be a “Casual Christmas Attire” theme. Examples of this attire would be: ugly sweaters, holiday tops, holiday onesie etc.- (this DOES NOT include formal attire) The cost to get into the dance is $5.00 and all tickets will be purchased Friday December 3rd during lunch. Students will be given a wrist band to get into the dance that evening. NO ticket sales will take place at the door.

 

We need volunteers to be chaperones for the dance. If you are willing to help on that evening, please send an email to Mrs. Hood or reply to this email.
