Safe Place is a national youth outreach and prevention program for young people under the age of 18 (up to 21 years of age in some communities) in need of immediate help and safety. The Safe Place program is an option for young people who feel they have nowhere to turn. Designated Safe Place locations display the Safe Place sign, the universal symbol of youth safety.
Mountain Haven’s Safe Place initiative is part of a national network of Safe Place programs throughout the United States. More than 20,000 community businesses and organizations nationwide display the Safe Place sign, making help readily available for youth. Safe Place locations include: schools, libraries, fire stations, various businesses, and social service facilities.
