SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAM
Rowan County Schools will be offering a learning program this summer. Our summer learning program will provide learning support to students so they will be ready for the next grade level. Summer Learning will last for 19 days, June 1 - June 25, 2021 with morning or afternoon sessions available. Students will be provided breakfast and lunch if attending the morning sessions and only lunch for afternoons. In order to maximize this program, we are asking that you commit to sending your child all 19 days.
While we will work to include every child that is signed up to participate in the program; however, there may be a need to prioritize due to large numbers (in order to maintain adequate spacing in classrooms). The location is to be determined.
Complete a separate survey for each child (please note there is a different survey for middle and high school students).
Please respond to the questions below.

The Rowan County Board of Education voted during a special called board meeting on March 2nd, 2021 to return to five day a week in-person classes beginning on March 22, 2021. A virtual option (RCOLA) will still be offered for those wishing to learn remotely for the remainder of the school year. The latest Kentucky Department of Education “Healthy at School” guidance will be followed as closely as possible for those choosing the in-person option. Currently the school year will end for all students on May 19th, 2021.

Effective September 28, 2020, school districts are required to report Covid-19 information. If any student, parent or staff member (or anyone in your household) tests positive or has been required to be quarantined for COVID-19, they must inform the school Health Officer (COVID-19) at the student’s assigned school. You can do this by calling the school and asking for the school health officer. All information will remain confidential.
