International Observe the Moon Night

Observe the Moon
Morehead State University’s Department of Earth and Space Sciences along with astronomy students from Rowan County Senior High School and Rowan County Middle School will be hosting observations of the moon for International Observe the Moon Night on Saturday, September 22, 2012. The event, free and open to the public, will begin at 7 PM in the Space Science Center’s Star Theater and continue until 10:30 PM.
 
Activities for International Observe the Moon Night will include talks about the moon and the evening sky in the Star Theater, moon-related activities, and observing the moon with telescopes provided by the Space Science Center.
 
Please note that the International Observe the Moon Night is a “weather permitting” event. In the event of cloudy skies or inclement weather, the event may be postponed or cancelled.
