- February 3: Online Shopping
This course is designed to teach patrons how to identify and conduct safe online purchases, with a focus on privacy protection, safe browsing and buying, and an effective understanding of commonsense market practices such as buyer reviews and seller ratings. Appropriate for all ages, but aimed primarily at adults and seniors.
- Feb 10: Resume Writing
A program meant to teach patrons how to compose and maintain an effective career resume, with a focus on services offered by or available through the library, such as the Cypress Resume app. Intended for teens through seniors.
- Feb 17: Digital Research
This class is intended to educate patrons on how to perform effective online and digital research, assisted and unassisted, with a focus on services offered by or available through the library. Appropriate for all ages, but aimed primarily at teens through seniors.
- Feb 24: Kentucky Virtual Library (KYVL) Services
Presentation on database services available from the Kentucky Virtual Library through RCPL. Includes explanations of EBSCO, WorldCat, LexisNexis, and more with the intent to familiarize patrons in their use and teach confidence in accessing these services. Appropriate for all ages, but aimed primarily at teens through seniors.
- March 3: Libby Application
Libby is the friendly new app from the makers of OverDrive, which allows patrons to access thousands of digital titles. RCPL is proud to support Libby and to offer this course on how patrons can download and use it to quickly and easily start borrowing from our broad catalog of ebooks and audiobooks. Appropriate for all ages.
